THE ERASMUS+ TEAM OF THE 8TH GENERAL LYCEUM OF VOLOS AT THE DIGITAL PORTABLE PLANETARIUM!
The Erasmus+ team attended a very interesting show on Friday, October 12, 2018, on the Planetarium On The Go - which visited the city of Volos during the World Space Week. The Digital Portable Planetarium is a special semi-permanent portable structure with a fixed dome structure 6 meters in diameter with a high quality hemispherical projection area of 57 square meters.
We watched the production "From Earth to the Universe" which has been compiled in 24 languages and is projected on over 700 planetariums around the world. The show was a unique trip to the Universe. After a brief reference to Ancient Astronomy, we traveled to our Solar System and our Milky Way, to the Universe, as these are described by science. The students had the opportunity to take a step closer to their desire to explore and understand space, Earth and our place in the Universe.

NIGHT ASTRONOMY LESSON IN KOSZALIN
Can you observe stars and planets in a cloudy sky? Yes, you can. This was proved by astronomy enthusiasts during the night astronomy classes organized in Koszalin by teachers and students from I LO Dubois on 18th October 2019. The night observations were attended not only by teachers and students from our school, but also students from other schools and the inhabitants of Koszalin. All the gathered astronomy lovers had the opportunity to learn how a telescope is built and how it works, what phenomena can be observed in the summer-autumn sky and how to find constellations and planets in the sky with the naked eye, a telescope but also using smartphones and sky observation applications.

ERASMUS DAY IN I LO DUBOIS IN KOSZALIN
From 10th to 12th October 2019 Erasmus Days were celebrated around the world. Our school also joined the celebrations which are aimed at disseminating the results of projects implemented under the Erasmus+ Program.
As part of the celebration, our school held a lecture during which students and teachers could learn more about the practical side of the Erasmus + Program and discover other areas of activity located in the wide spectrum of its impact. It was also a great opportunity to see how the funds from the program can be used to organize initiatives that create new professional, development and educational opportunities at local, national and international levels and learn about the practical benefits of participating in such projects from participants of the "Four Seasons in the Sky" project currently implemented at our school.
The lecture was accompanied by an exhibition devoted to the current and previous projects implemented at our school as part of the Erasmus + Program.
